KS Government Decision: 366 Educators to Receive Transportation Allowance

The Government of Sarajevo Canton today passed a Conclusion whereby budget beneficiaries from institutions under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of KS, whose place of residence is not covered by the public city, suburban and intercity transport network or in cases where working hours require a different mode of transport, can claim the right to a transportation cost allowance in the amount of a ticket for city, suburban and intercity transport upon presentation of appropriate documentation, it was announced from the Press Service of Sarajevo Canton, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

As reminded by the Minister of Finance and Acting Prime Minister of the Canton, Muhamed Kozadra, the Government had already considered this material three times, in May, July, and September of this year, and returned it to the relevant Ministry requesting that accurate records of employees entitled to these allowances, the number of such persons, and their addresses be attached.

- These days, the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of KS has prepared a final and complete list for employees in primary education institutions who are entitled to this allowance, and it will be paid immediately for 366 registered individuals. Funds for this purpose have been secured in the Budget; we were waiting for precise records from the institutions so that the funds could be paid to those entitled to them - Kozadra stated.

We remind you that educators held a half-hour strike today due to the non-payment of transportation allowances.
