Bosnia and Herzegovina Volleyball Players Won Silver: Iran Too Strong in the Final

THE HAGUE, (Patria) - The Bosnia and Herzegovina national sitting volleyball team did not manage to win the world championship title. 

Our guys were defeated in the World Championship final with 3-0 in sets by their great rival Iran. 

BiH has won the world championship title three times so far, and whenever they lost in major competitions, it was most often to Iran. This is Iran's seventh world championship title.

Our team thus failed to defend the world champion title won four years ago in Poland. Besides 2014, our volleyball players were the best in the world in 2002 and 2006.

The BiH national team defeated Brazil last night in the semi-finals with a score of 3:1 in sets. Before that, they celebrated against Iraq, Egypt, and Poland without losing a set. They only conceded one set to the Russians in the quarterfinals (3:1), but the current European champions had no answer to the energetic and dedicated play of our team.

Our guys have already secured a place at the Paralympic Games to be held in Tokyo in 2020.
