SDS's appeal rejected, they will have to run in elections under a different name

(Patria) - The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina rejected the appeal of the SDS against the decision of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of BiH to ban them from participating in the Local Elections. The appeal was rejected as unfounded, N1 has learned.

To recall, the CEC rejected the SDS's application to participate in the Local Elections because the party submitted the application to the CEC with an account in the name of the Secretary General. They did this because the SDS is under sanctions.

"A political party and an independent candidate participating in the elections are obliged to open a special account for financing campaign costs. The account is opened by the body authorized by the political party," the CEC of BiH stated at the time.
