Appeal against CEC public procurement rejected, preparations for early elections in RS proceed as planned

(Patria) - The Appeals Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has rejected the complaint filed by the company TOP TLS d.o.o. against the tender of the Central Election Commission of BiH for the transport of election materials, it was confirmed for N1 from the CEC.

"Accordingly, the process of organizing early elections in the RS has not been disrupted, and everything continues according to the established plan," the CEC said.

Incidentally, the complaint by TOP TLS d.o.o. was filed on the last day of the deadline, October 27, after which the case was forwarded to the Appeals Office. The decision on the complaint was delayed due to a lack of quorum for holding a session, and the Office stated that they could not prepare the necessary documentation earlier for that reason.

To speed up the process, the CEC of BiH sent an urgent request on November 6, warning that further delay in the decision could lead to the postponement of the early elections for the President of the Republika Srpska, scheduled for November 23.

The Appeals Office convened today at 11:00 AM and made a decision to dismiss the complaint as unfounded. This confirmed that the company Optimum Global Logistika d.o.o. Sarajevo remains the most favorable bidder that will carry out the transport of election materials.

Early elections for the President of the Republika Srpska are scheduled for November 23, and the candidates for this position are:

‣ Branko Blanuša (Serb Democratic Party – SDS)
‣ Siniša Karan (SNSD – Alliance of Independent Social Democrats)
‣ Nikola Lazarević (Ecological Party of the Republika Srpska)
‣ Igor Gašević (independent candidate)
‣ Slavko Dragičević (independent candidate)

1.2 million voters have the right to vote in the early elections.
