City picnic areas to be closed from tomorrow

(Patria) - In Banja Luka, city picnic areas will be temporarily closed from tomorrow, according to the decision of the City Headquarters for Emergency Situations, in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

These include Mladen Stojanović Park, Banj brdo, outdoor gyms, and green areas along the Vrbas river around the new bridge at the site of the former Green Bridge.

These areas will be physically fenced off, according to the City Administration.

Banja Luka Mayor Igor Radojičić said yesterday after a session of the City Headquarters for Emergency Situations that good weather is expected over the weekend and that this decision aims to prevent large gatherings, as previous appeals have not been heeded.

Radojičić called on citizens to respect all measures aimed at protecting health.
