From SIPA to BHANSA: Agenda Full of Security and Economic Challenges

(Patria) - The Council of Ministers of BiH is expected to consider the proposal for the appointment of the Deputy Director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) at today's session, as well as the Draft Amendment to the financing agreement between BiH and the European Investment Bank for flood protection measures.

The proposer of the Draft Amendment is the Ministry of Finance and Treasury of BiH, while the Ministry of Security proposed the appointment of the Deputy Director of SIPA and the decision to seek international assistance for protection and rescue in firefighting.

The agenda also includes the Draft Law on Measuring Units in BiH, proposed by the Institute of Metrology, as well as the proposal for the Council of Ministers' action plan for the implementation of the "Open Government Partnership" initiative for the period from 2025 to 2027, and reports on the work of 54 Council of Ministers institutions for the previous year.

Ministers are also expected to consider, at the proposal of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations, the report on the application and effects of the Decision on Temporary Suspension and Temporary Reduction of Customs Rates on the Import of Certain Goods until the end of last year, as well as the Analysis of BiH's Foreign Trade Exchange for the first three months of this year.

In addition, the session will consider information on the extraordinary situation in the air traffic control system, caused by the sudden and simultaneous sick leaves of the operational staff of the Air Navigation Services Agency of BiH (BHANSA).

The session of the Council of Ministers is scheduled for 5 PM in the institutions building in Sarajevo, it was announced by the Council of Ministers.
