Heating supply to Vogošća residents restored since this morning

(Patria) - The Ministry of Communal Economy, Infrastructure, Spatial Planning, Construction and Environmental Protection of Sarajevo Canton has provided 100,000 KM, which were reallocated to the Directorate for Commodity Reserves of Sarajevo Canton for the supply of additional quantities of fuel oil to the company "BAGS – Energotehnika" d.d., in order to restore the supply of heating energy to the residents of Vogošća and continue it until the end of the heating season.

The relevant ministry reminds that on March 26, 2026, the supply of heating energy to the residents of Vogošća was interrupted due to a shortage of fuel oil, the reserves of which were depleted to the technical minimum necessary for the production and distribution of heating energy.

"The Government of Sarajevo Canton, at the proposal of the Ministry, adopted a conclusion at an emergency session on the reallocation of funds in order to overcome the current situation and protect citizens from negative consequences, especially considering the low air temperatures.

This brings the amount of funds allocated from the KS Budget for the procurement of energy for the company BAGS Energotehnika d.d. to 2 million KM, or 3,200 KM per household. The residents of Vogošća have received regular heating again, and the relevant ministry and the Government of Sarajevo Canton have once again shown their readiness for swift and responsible action in situations of public interest," the relevant ministry states.
