SIPA launches Twitter account

The State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) today launched an official page on the social network Twitter, following the example of global police practices. The page was established with the aim of modernizing and developing public relations, and due to the increasing popularity of the Twitter social network among all age groups, it will enable further promotion of SIPA and interaction with citizens, reports the Patria News Agency.

Under the username “SIPA Policija” (SIPA Police), citizens can find information about SIPA’s latest operations, as well as other interesting facts related to SIPA’s activities.

- This page also serves to promote SIPA’s official website www.sipa.gov.ba, as links that have previously been published on the official website will be posted there. The SIPA Twitter profile will also further promote the “Krimolovci” (Crime Stoppers) hotline, in order to encourage citizens to report information and knowledge they possess about the planning or commission of criminal offenses - SIPA stated.

All Twitter users can “follow” the SIPA page and thus receive notifications about the latest posts on this page, and be able to support SIPA in the daily fight against crime.
