Taxis significantly more expensive from April 1, ride from Ilidža to Baščaršija will cost over 30 KM

(Patria) - Following the increase in oil prices after the US and Israeli attack on Iran on February 28, the consequences of the tremors on the oil and oil derivatives market are already being felt.

Thus, taxi service prices in Sarajevo will significantly increase from April 1.

The starting fare is currently 2.50 KM, and from Wednesday it will be 3.50 KM, while one kilometer driven is now 1.50 KM, and from Wednesday 2.30 KM.

These price increases are also justified by taxi drivers due to the rise in other costs they incur as taxi drivers.

According to the new price list, a ride from Ilidža to Baščaršija (12 km) will cost you 31.10 KM.

For now, there is no information that there might be a new correction in the prices of public transport in Sarajevo, which became more expensive from July 1, 2025. Thus, the price of a single ticket is 2.20 KM, while the price of a ticket in commercial transport is 2.70 KM.
