Footwear: The imposed FBiH Government plays 'Russian roulette' with BiH's fragile economy

(Patria) - Although presented as a victory for workers, all analyses of the Decision on increasing the minimum wage show that it is just another experiment by the imposed FBiH Government at the expense of citizens and playing "Russian roulette" with the fragile economy of this country, believes SDA Vice President Aida Obuća.

- "The managers of FBiH" without a single day of work experience in the real sector are trying, under the guise of challenges to the standard of living, not only to avoid their responsibility for the state of the economy and the almost "predatory" borrowing, but also to deceive the public about the true intention of this action.

The intention to uncompromisingly, and all at the behest of foreign centers of power, destroy and sell off the economic assets of FBiH, as has already begun with the Sarajevo International Airport.

The consequences of this decision are as clear as day. Layoffs that have already begun in Goražde, the closure of companies, rising prices, the gray economy, the suspension of investments - that is the reality that awaits us.

Instead of creating conditions for economic development, the Government has created an abyss into which it is now pushing us. We will all pay the price for this irresponsible decision. Workers will lose their jobs, pensioners will feel a decline in their standard of living, and young people will be condemned to a future without prospects.

This is a "diplomatic" game of chance started by the decision to suspend the Constitution, about which we were not even asked, and which we will all pay dearly for. The Government, together with its "bosses," has obviously taken us for fools and opted for populist measures that will only deepen our problems.

Fiscal reforms and economic development must not be a matter of party affiliation, but exclusively a matter of expertise, which is why we must not allow such actions.

I call on the pro-Bosnian representatives of citizens in the Parliament of the Federation of BiH to send a clear message and adopt measures that will protect our economy and our lives, but also to dismiss all those who voted for such an obvious attack on our economic sovereignty and integrity - Obuća stated in a press release.
