(Patria) - Social media users have been unable to find the YouTube channel of Bosnian-Herzegovinian singer-songwriter Zlatan Fazlić Fazla since this morning.
All his songs, all his works, everything ever posted has been deleted, including his latest song "1425 dana" (1425 Days), which is dedicated to the Siege of Sarajevo.
- YouTube informed me that my profile was hacked and taken down. Since the release of the song "1425 dana", which I suspect is the reason for what happened, strange situations have been piling up.
Editors were forbidden or advised not to air it, both on radio and television, and media appearances were cancelled.
On YouTube, thousands of views were disappearing overnight, and that daily, so I assumed it was bothering someone a lot, given how much effort they put into taking it down.
I believe that what they did to me is just the result of releasing such a work - says Zlatan Fazlić Fazla.
The song, he adds, is dedicated exclusively to preserving the memory of all victims of the Siege of Sarajevo, made in their glory, but also in honour of all those who survived the siege.
- The siege is rarely mentioned anyway, but if we are not even allowed to remember it, if even memory is denied to us, then all of us, as a state and society, have a much bigger problem than the deletion of a YouTube channel.
In addition to that, besides the song they deleted, my entire YouTube profile was deleted, hundreds of songs, views, comments, practically all my work, all my creations.
If possible, it remains to be seen how my channel was taken down, who took it down, and how this could have happened at all. Now I can only guess. My production team still needs to see what to do next with this. I don't know - says Fazla.
