1.8 kilometres of road renewed in Dobrinja on Braće Mulić and Bulevar Mimara Sinana streets

(Patria) - Works on the last section of the project to renew the road on Bulevar Mimara Sinana street, 670 metres long, have been completed, thus finishing the entire renewal project of this road, 1.8 kilometres long in the Dobrinja neighbourhood.

The Minister of Transport of Sarajevo Canton, Adnan Šteta, together with a representative of the contractor, inspected the final works.

Earlier, works on asphalting the last section were completed, and in recent days, works on painting traffic signs are also being finished. The renewal of this road greatly improves the safety of traffic participants in the area of Novi Grad Municipality and enhances the quality of life.

“Our commitment to investing in the road infrastructure of our canton grows stronger year after year, and we are proud that today we have many renewed and built roads behind us. Investments in roads in Novi Grad Municipality are extremely large, and the satisfaction of citizens gives us motivation to continue. There were unforeseen challenges on all sections, but they were successfully overcome, to the satisfaction of all parties involved, especially our citizens,” emphasised Minister Šteta.

About 15,000 vehicles pass through this street daily, and public transport vehicles pass about 500 times a day. There are also three schools in the immediate vicinity, and additional horizontal and vertical signage will improve the safety of all traffic participants.

Its renewal was necessary, and the Ministry of Transport of Sarajevo Canton thanks citizens for their patience and understanding during the works.

In addition to the completely renewed road and renovated sidewalks, a bicycle path has been built along the entire length, signage has been installed, as well as new pedestrian crossing markings that improve visibility.

The project value is five million KM including VAT, and funds were secured through the budgets of the Ministry of Transport of Sarajevo Canton and the Roads Directorate, while Novi Grad Municipality participated in the design and financial resources in the amount of 400,000 KM.
