List published: Politicians, actors, athletes lead in Panama Papers affair

Politicians are most frequently mentioned in the published names linked to the Panama Papers affair. This is the result of research by investigators from Denmark, as reported by the Independent. However, there is one serious circumstance to consider. Namely, the investigators compiled the list primarily using data from Wikipedia and Wikidata, and they themselves emphasize that a large number of people remain outside this list, reports the Patria news agency.

The research was published on his blog by Arup Nielsen, a scientist from the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the Technical University of Denmark. After politicians, the most frequently mentioned are lawyers, various types of businessmen, entrepreneurs, and people engaged in professions related to football.

Nielsen himself emphasizes that these are people significant enough to be mentioned on Wikipedia, which means that a large number of people are not included in this research. Among the leading professions are also actors and film producers, screenwriters, diplomats, economists, judges, singers, and journalists, writes Index.
