(Patria) - "He'll end up like Hadžibajrić," Sarajevo businessman Adis Mulaosmanović said in early May during a wiretapped phone conversation with his associates, writes Istraga.ba
From May to the end of July, SIPA wiretapped the phones of Adis Mulaosmanović and his family members. Ibro Berilo, the mayor of Trnovo Municipality, was also under special investigative measures. Mulaosmanović is the founder of the company Lok-Pill d.o.o. And that company founded its branch Aroma, which built apartments on Bjelašnica. It is precisely because of these apartments that the mayor of Trnovo is under investigation.
In short, Trnovo Municipality granted state land for the construction of the Aroma apartment complex on Bjelašnica, and the owner of Aroma, in return, gave the mayor of Trnovo Municipality, Ibro Berilo, an apartment of 57 square meters. This apartment was registered to the company Lok-Pil d.o.o. Sarajevo, whose owner is, in fact, the owner of Aroma. When the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office intensified the investigation, Berilo arranged for this apartment to be fictitiously purchased by the company Drinjaković d.o.o. at a price of 3,700 marks per square meter. These transactions took place in May of this year and were all recorded by wiretapping the phones of Ibro Berilo and his associates. The fact that Ibro Berilo was the owner of this apartment registered under number 25 is also proven by the fact that it was rented out by Amela Berilo, the daughter-in-law of Mayor Ibro Berilo. Thus, Berilo gave permission for Aroma apartments to be built on state land, and Aroma gave an apartment to Ibro Berilo, which remained registered to Aroma. In order to cover his tracks and avoid the eventual confiscation of this property, Berilo persuaded businessman Nihad Drinjaković to fictitiously buy the apartment and pay about 210,000 marks to the account of the company Lok -Pil d.o.o. Sarajevo.
"The money will sit there until the eagle's age, and let it rot when the eagle rots," Adis Mulaosmanović will say in a phone conversation held at the end of June this year.
In those days, Edina Džigal, Adis Mulaosmanović's sister, feared that their apartments would be demolished. In a phone conversation with Fehma Mulaosmanović, Adis Mulaosmanović's mother and manager of the Aroma apartments, she discussed the sale of Berilo's apartment.
"When did he find a buyer so quickly, damn his mother," Džigal said, adding that she would go to SIPA if "he (Ibro Berilo) betrays Adis".
"He would let Adis be arrested now to save himself," Džigal said in one of the numerous intercepted conversations.
The apartment rented out by Berilo's sister is now formally owned by the company Drinjaković d.o.o. Sarajevo, which closely cooperated with Berilo.
But this is not the only disputed location. Trnovo Municipality, according to Istraga's information, also closely cooperated with businessman Bojo Borovina from Sokolac. Bojo Gadafi, as Bojo Borovina is nicknamed, was in charge of logging in certain locations to convert forest land into construction land. Gadafi, according to our information, even removed stumps so that there would be no evidence that there was a forest in that place. After that, Trnovo Municipality, with the prior consent of the Government of Sarajevo Canton, would change regulatory plans and issue urban and construction permits. Behind the construction of certain facilities on Bjelašnica, investigators suspect, are certain businessmen and officials from Sarajevo Canton, close to Adnan Šteta and Aljoša Čampare. However, they are not under investigation for now.
