(Patria) - Due to heavy rainfall and water accumulation in the underpass at the entrance to Mostar from the direction of Jablanica, BIHAMK recommended drivers use the M-17 main road. A police patrol is on site regulating traffic.
In the village of Potpolje, in the municipality of Čitluk, a traffic accident occurred last night in which a car slid into a ditch. A large amount of water accumulated on that section of the road, which is a common occurrence during heavy rainfall.
Bljesak.info reports that every heavy rain causes water to overflow onto the road and create dangerous puddles, putting drivers at risk of losing control of their vehicles. There was also material damage to the car, and there is no information about injuries.
Residents of Potpolje emphasize that the problem has persisted for years and that the competent services should find a permanent solution to prevent similar accidents.
BIHAMK had previously warned drivers about unfavorable road conditions throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina due to wet and slippery roads, localized heavy rainfall, and possible landslides.
