28th anniversary of the founding of the HVO Sarajevo 'King Tvrtko' Brigade marked

(Patria) - On the occasion of the 28th anniversary of the founding of the HVO Sarajevo 'King Tvrtko' Brigade, wreaths were laid and candles lit at the 'Sveti Josip' cemetery in Sarajevo for all fallen, deceased and missing defenders of this brigade, as well as all victims of the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina (1992 – 1995). The commemoration was attended by the Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton Mario Nenadić, representatives of the Association of Brigade Unions, representatives of the Coordination of Veterans' Associations of Novi Grad Municipality, the Coordination of HVO Associations of Municipalities/Cantons of Sarajevo Canton, the Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to Bosnia and Herzegovina Ivan Sabolić, Bariša Čolak on behalf of the Croatian National Assembly, representatives of the Ministry of Veterans' Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, Igor Gavrić on behalf of the City of Sarajevo, and representatives of the Unified Organization of Fighters of Sarajevo Canton.

The main characteristics of the HVO Sarajevo are its multinational structure and the nurturing and preservation of mutual trust, cooperation and solidarity among different peoples. For the freedom of Sarajevo, 102 defenders of the HVO Sarajevo of different nationalities gave their lives, and more than 260 were wounded.
