A delegation from the Sarajevo Canton laid flowers on Sunday at the site of the massacre at the intersection of Gimnazijska and Obala Kulina Bana streets, specifically in front of the "Safvet beg Bašagić" Elementary School, in memory of eight fellow citizens who perished, writes the BH News Agency Patria.
The massacre occurred 21 years ago on December 14, 1993, when another 10 Sarajevans were seriously injured.
On that tragic day, Vildana Avdić, Dina Čomor, Rusmir Čopelj, Azra Hanić, Lejla Jahić, Razija Jahić, Amir Krivić, and Dino Špilović were killed by shrapnel from a 120 mm mortar shell fired from aggressor positions on Vrac.
Family members of the victims remembered their loved ones today by reciting Fatiha and laying flowers.
