Marking the 20th anniversary of the death of Lasta members on the slopes of Bjelašnica and Igman

The Association of members of the special police unit „Lasta“ will mark on Saturday the 20th anniversary of the death of members of this elite unit on the slopes of Bjelašnica and Igman, who lost their lives in bloody conflicts during the Serbian aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina, which began in 1992, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Members of the special police unit Lasta fought throughout BiH and played a major role in the defense of the country during the last aggression against the country, which from 1992 to 1995 was under constant pressure from the Serbian army, and at one point Croatia also turned against BiH.

Former members of Lasta, their friends and relatives, as well as family members of fallen Lasta members will gather at Bijele vode on Bjelašnica, where a memorial has been erected to the fallen Lasta members, writes Patria.
