Šibenik has become the first Dalmatian city with a public bicycle system, and the project came to life after seven months of terrain testing and 1,000 registered users, reports the BiH news agency Patria.
In addition to renting rooms to tourists, bicycle rental will be an additional service that will facilitate movement, but also solve the problem of lack of parking space in the city center itself.
An hour of using a bicycle costs 8 kuna (2.20 KM), and this will also contribute to reducing air pollution.
Between 15 and 20 bicycle rental stations will be installed in the city.
