40 foreign and domestic scientists to discuss Sarajevo's role in BiH and the world

40 scientists from the country and the world will discuss Sarajevo's role in Bosnian politics, culture, and economy at an International Conference in Sarajevo to be held from May 3 to 5, the International Forum Bosna announced, reports the news agency Patria.

The Municipality of Stari Grad and the International Forum Bosna, along with the celebration of the Day of the Municipality of Stari Grad, are organizing the First International Conference "Sarajevo and the World".

The three-day program includes the following contents: 
- Open discussion on the topic "Sarajevo in the literary visions of Dževad Karahasan" on May 3 at the Dom oružanih snaga BiH (Home of the Armed Forces of BiH), starting at 7 PM 
- First scientific gathering "Sarajevo and the World" on May 4 at Hotel Europa, starting at 9:30 AM
- Open discussion on the topic "Sarajevo in the artistic visions of Safet Zec" on May 5, Safet Zec Atelier, starting at 11 AM.

Although Sarajevo is a significant phenomenon of the past and present of the world, both in reality and symbolically, its role has been denied and hidden in recent ideologically constructed narratives. 

With its pluralistic culture that has survived even the harshest destructions, Sarajevo remains a deposit and a testament to the future of Bosnia and the entire world – it is stated, among other things, in the announcement of the International Forum Bosna, reports Patria.
