Nurkić confirms: I will come to the national team gathering

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - After signing a new contract with Portland worth $48 million a few weeks ago, Jusuf Nurkić was also on coach Duško Vujošević's list for the second round of qualifications for the 2019 World Cup.

In a statement to Dnevni avaz, our center confirmed that he had talks with the coach and that he will attend the gathering of the Dragons who will lead them in the continuation of the qualifiers in September.

- I had a meeting with coach Duško Vujošević in Belgrade, and we also talked at the national team gathering last month in Sarajevo. A few days ago, he informed me about when the preparations are scheduled, which will be about two weeks before the start of the second round of qualifiers. I confirmed my arrival, we are in constant contact - stated Nurkić.

The Dragons' next qualifying matches are on September 13 in Finland against the home team, and three days later they will host the Czech Republic.

- We will try to make a good start in these two matches. Two wins would put us back in the game for qualification for the World Cup - Nurkić is optimistic.
