Newly appointed director of the ZDK Cantonal Forestry Administration takes solemn oath before Minister Čajić

(Patria) - Jasmin Abazović from Olovo, the newly appointed director of the ZDK Cantonal Forestry Administration, took the solemn oath of a civil servant today before the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, Jasmin Čajić.

- The Cantonal Forestry Administration has an important task to protect and preserve the forest fund, which is very important for the ecosystem and also a significant economic resource of our canton. We are oriented towards sustainable forest management and focused on the balance between economic exploitation and ecological protection of forests.

I expect the newly appointed director to remain committed to that path and for all of us to work together on the preservation and protection of forests as a public good and national heritage that all citizens must care for - said Minister Čajić.

Abazović was selected through a public competition, and in this position he replaced the long-time director of the Cantonal Forestry Administration, Nevzeta Elezović, who has retired.
