Novinska agencija Patria wishes all believers Eid Mubarak

(Patria) – Kurban-bayram, one of the two greatest Muslim holidays, began this morning with the performance of the Bayram prayer across Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Mosques in numerous cities were filled with believers who welcomed the holiday of sacrifice, solidarity, and community in a joint prayer.

The central Eid celebration was held at the Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque in Sarajevo, where the Bayram prayer was led by Husein ef. Kavazović, who also delivered the traditional Eid sermon on this occasion.

Kurban-bayram lasts for four days, and the specialty of this holiday is reflected in the offering of a sacrifice (kurban), the meat of which is shared with family, friends, neighbors, and those in weaker financial situations, symbolizing solidarity, care for others, and mutual assistance.
