In the area of Banja Luka, two persons were arrested who, during the month of October, committed ten burglaries and thefts in family homes in the areas of Banja Luka, Prnjavor, Teslić and Bijeljina, reports the Patria agency.
A.A. (1993) from Banja Luka and F.A. (1988) from Modriča devised a tactic to easily inspect houses, i.e., potential robbery targets, under the pretext of dealing with the purchase of secondary raw materials.
However, the thieves offered a price disproportionate to the actual market price, so no purchase took place. In this way, they only surveyed the situation and marked potential targets for robbery.
In those houses where no one opened the door after knocking or ringing, the duo used physical force and tools to break doors or windows, entered the houses, and stole money and gold jewelry.
The suspects caused significant material damage to the homeowners by committing these criminal acts.
- The duty district public prosecutor of the District Public Prosecutor's Office in Banja Luka ordered that, after completing and documenting the case in regular procedure, a report be submitted against the suspects for the criminal offense of "Aggravated Theft".
Work on documenting the aforementioned, as well as shedding light on other criminal acts suspected to have been committed by these persons, is ongoing - stated the Ministry of Interior of Republika Srpska.
