New Orders from the Sarajevo Canton Civil Protection Headquarters

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - At today's second regular session, the Sarajevo Canton Civil Protection Headquarters, among other things, analyzed the current situation in the Canton caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

The Cantonal Civil Protection Administration is tasked with implementing this order. This order takes effect on the day it is issued.

  • The KS Commodity Reserves Directorate is ordered to allocate all available quantities of protective masks, gloves, gowns, and caps from its reserves and make them available to the KS Civil Protection Headquarters. The Civil Protection Headquarters of KS will then distribute all available quantities according to priorities. The KS Commodity Reserves Directorate and the Cantonal Civil Protection Administration are tasked with implementing this order.

This order takes effect on the day it is issued.

In order to implement the decision on distributing packages with food and hygiene items, the Cantonal Civil Protection Operational Center has once again informed the municipal headquarters that they were obliged to submit lists with the names of persons over 65 years of age or persons in a state of social need.

They remind that all municipal headquarters must submit updated lists by tonight at the latest, so that volunteers, in cooperation with the Civil Protection Headquarters, the Red Cross, and the Center for Social Work, can begin distributing packages to this vulnerable category of the population. The KS Civil Protection Headquarters also handed over equipment necessary for the work of KJKP Pokop d.o.o. Sarajevo today.
