Five more mothers from the central Sarajevo municipality received one-time financial aid from the Centar Municipality, which was presented to them on April 1, 2015, at the premises of the municipal Service for Work, Health, and Social Affairs. Four mothers received 300 KM each for the birth of their first child, while one mother received this benefit for the birth of her fourth child and was given 500 KM, reports the Patria News Agency.
As stipulated by the by-laws on awarding this aid to mothers, mothers who are not employed and receive child benefits are entitled to a one-time financial aid of 300 KM, while mothers who give birth to their third and every subsequent child are entitled to 500 KM if the total income of their household does not exceed the average salary in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the previous year.
Otherwise, 40,000 KM has been allocated in this year's municipal budget for one-time financial donations to mothers in need.
Minela Sultanović, a mother of four, is also a recipient of one-time financial aid from the Municipality.
- Since my husband and I are both unemployed, this donation means a lot to us. Only the Centar Municipality, where we permanently reside, has assisted us, for which we are very grateful to the Mayor Dževad Bećirević and the Service for Work, Health, and Social Affairs. This is the first time we are recipients of this type of aid, which we will use to buy food, clothes, and other necessities for our children - said Minela Sultanović, as announced by the Centar Municipality.
