SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Our measures for coronavirus prevention have been praised by the President of the World Health Organization, so I ask citizens to respect them, said the Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Fadil Novalić, at a press conference.
“Today, the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina held a session where consent was given for negotiations with the World Bank, which will act on the health and economic aspects of preventing the spread of coronavirus. For March, we have reduced rent by 50 percent for tenants using federal premises, and if the crisis persists, we will abolish it completely,” added Novalić and called on other levels of government to do the same.
He reminded that the Crisis Staff of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina was changed yesterday and stated that “it was not a political decision”.
“It is a technical issue to make the staff more efficient. It had 21 members, and the bodies for fighting the pandemic were not relevant. According to the law, three people remained there, the head of the Crisis Staff Jelka Milićević, director Fahrudin Solak, and the director of the Red Cross,” added Novalić.
He adds that last night they already received the necessary funds to procure one million masks, 5,000 suits for healthcare workers, 500,000 gloves, and 170,000 tests.
