Novak Đoković global ambassador for UNICEF

World's number one tennis player Novak Đoković has become a global ambassador for UNICEF, reports the Patria News Agency.

Novak was declared a national ambassador for UNICEF in Serbia in 2011. Since then, he has provided selfless support for improving the lives of children, especially the most vulnerable.     

The "Novak Đoković" Foundation, thanks to the great response from kind people around the world and a personal donation from its founder, has so far collected $1.5 million for the renovation of preschool facilities. From that amount, Đoković donated 110,000 euros for the reconstruction of kindergartens and schools in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia after last year's catastrophic floods.
