New opportunity for growth: 120,000 BAM for professional development of persons with disabilities

(Patria) - The Fund for Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities of the Federation of BiH places special emphasis on professional rehabilitation in its new public call. The program is implemented through several sub-lots, and the segment currently announced is intended for persons with disabilities who apply independently, i.e., sub-lot 3.3.

A total of 120,000 BAM has been allocated for this part, with the aim of increasing employment opportunities, acquiring new skills, and providing support towards independent living.

All persons with disabilities whose established degree of disability is 60% or more, in accordance with the conditions of the public call, have the right to apply.

„Professional rehabilitation is the first step towards employment and independence. We want to provide support to everyone who wants to improve their abilities and competitiveness on the labor market, because investing in knowledge and skills opens doors to new opportunities,“ says the Director of the Fund, Ahmet Baljić, emphasizing the importance of this support segment.

What does the program finance?

Through this program, the participation of persons with disabilities in vocational training, retraining, courses and education programs, as well as in activities that directly contribute to increasing their competitiveness, is financed. In this way, the Fund aims to reduce barriers and provide equal opportunities for all candidates.

„Our goal is that every person with a disability who wants to progress has the space to do so. The Fund finances concrete programs that directly strengthen competencies, and the end result is greater independence and a better chance of finding employment,“ adds Baljić.

How to apply?

Persons with disabilities (60% or more) who apply independently have the right to apply, by submitting documentation and a justification of the activity plan. The public call for this segment is open for 30 days from the date of publication, specifically until the end of September, and forms and detailed information are available on the Fund's website.

In this way, the Fund continues to consistently implement its mission of empowering persons with disabilities, creating a bridge between education and the labor market, and opening new opportunities for their professional integration.
