Football Association begins presenting Dragons ahead of the World Cup: Kerim Alajbegović, a symbol of the new generation

(Patria) - The Football Association of BiH has begun the countdown to the start of the World Cup, and the Dragons play their first match on June 12 in Toronto against Canada.

Profiles of some players have been published on the official FB page of the Association, and the latest post is dedicated to Kerim Alajbegović.

"Kerim Alajbegović is the youngest national team player on coach Sergej Barbarez's list for the World Cup. Born on September 21, 2007, this talented footballer has already shown that the future of BiH football can be very bright.

He has made eight appearances for the "Dragons" so far, and had a dream debut on September 6, 2025, against San Marino, when he scored a goal in his first match in the jersey of the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Although the youngest in the team, Alajbegović showed exceptional maturity and character during the playoffs. In both penalty shootouts, he took responsibility in moments of greatest pressure and scored coolly.

His talent, courage, and confidence have made him one of the symbols of the new generation of "Dragons", a generation that has taken Bosnia and Herzegovina to the biggest football stage in the world," the Association stated.

Amar Memić was also presented a few days earlier

"He debuted for the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina in March 2025, and quickly became one of the indispensable parts of coach Sergej Barbarez's system.

During the World Cup qualifiers, he made nine appearances, recorded two assists, and his performances showed how much he means to the team in both directions - in defense and in organizing attacks.

A quiet worker on the field, a footballer who may not seek attention, but whose contribution to the team becomes visible in every segment of the game.

His fighting spirit, responsibility, and team spirit have singled him out as one of the important pillars of the new generation of "Dragons"," the description for Memić reads.
