Footballers remember tragically deceased fans: Rest in peace, Angry Krajisnici!

On this day two years ago, three BiH national team fans, Hasib Mahmić, Vildan Pehlić, and Almir Kasumović, members of the fan group "Ljuti Krajišnici" (Angry Krajisnici), died on their way back from Poland, writes the Patria news agency.

- We will never forget! Rest in peace, Angry Krajisnici! - wrote Edin Džeko, captain of the BiH national team.

However, it wasn't just Edin who remembered the tragically deceased fans; former captain Emir Spahić and many other players also expressed their condolences.

- It was on this day, a day I will never forget, a day when my dreams came true, a day when the most beautiful page of my career was written... Kaunas (Lithuania). Vedo Ibišević, assisted by Dijamant (Džeko), sent us directly to the World Cup in Brazil!!!! Tears, smiles... songs, celebrations, cheering all around us... emotions mixed because we weren't aware of what had happened. Rivers of blue and yellow fans flowed through the streets of Kaunas, songs and celebrations could be heard far away. Celebrations lasted throughout the world until the early morning hours. Pride overcame fatigue.... And then, somewhere before dawn, the news arrived from Poland... three young KRAJISNICI, three sons of Bosnia and Herzegovina, lost their lives on their way home from Lithuania, where they had gone to support us and help us write history! Our brothers, thank you for every second of your attention, concern, nervousness, songs, silence.... We will never forget you, NEVER!!!! - wrote Spahić.

We remind you that three fans died in a tragic accident that occurred on October 16, 2013, in the Polish city of Łomża, 150 kilometers from Warsaw. The young men died on their way back from a match in Lithuania.
