Night terror of trucks from Serbia: Coal transport without control and outside the law

(Patria) - The nightly chaos surrounding coal transport in Sanski Most continues, and the situation escalated further last night when drivers of a Serbian company left overloaded trailers at a location used as a truck scale, rendering it unusable.

According to locals, truck drivers from Serbia block roads as soon as police attempt to control them. They are transporting coal owned by the Posušje-based company Lager from Sanski Most to Serbia. When police stop one truck, the others immediately stop and block traffic, sometimes both lanes.

They say these are drivers from three Serbian companies owned by the same person.

Last night, they were bold enough to leave trailers to block police and cantonal inspectors from setting up a scale, after which they “pulled through” 14 of their trucks.

Traffic has been disrupted for days, and at night, the population is disturbed by the sound of sirens, leading to incidents with local residents.

On social network X, one user posted: “Can anyone, except the Sanski police, stand up to the terrorists!?”

Blockades were previously carried out in the villages of Pobrijezje and Demiševci, at the entrance to Sanski Most from the direction of Prijedor, where citizens had already protested against night transport and road destruction.

Trucks, often overloaded, cause noise in the early morning hours, and local police fail to respond effectively.

The problem threatens to escalate, and residents call on relevant institutions to urgently find a solution, as the current situation also creates a security risk.
