Germany will continue to support BiH on its reform path

On the occasion of the successful formation of government in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the spokesperson of the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs gave a statement to the media, which the Patria News Agency relays in its entirety.  

"We welcome the formation of the government in Bosnia and Herzegovina after the October 2014 elections. Bosnia and Herzegovina faces pressing challenges. We expect the new governments at all levels of authority to now turn back to the reform process, and in particular to decisively address the economic and social problems in the country.

The new governments play an extremely important role in creating and implementing the reform agenda with a socio-economic focus, to which the country committed itself in February. This difficult project can only succeed if all political parties and peoples cooperate constructively and are willing to compromise for the good of the country and the interests of its citizens. This also creates a basis for further progress in bringing the country closer to the European Union. Together with our EU partners, we will continue to support Bosnia and Herzegovina in its reform process on the path to Europe, it was announced from the German Embassy in BiH.
