Dutch Decimate Handball Dragons, Extinguishing Their Hopes for the Second Round of the Euros

(Patria) - The Handball Dragons suffered a heavy defeat in their second match of the European Championship in Mannheim, Germany - the Dutch decisively beat them with a high score of 36:20.

The BiH handball players presented themselves tonight in a dismal performance, making beginner mistakes in attack and ultimately receiving a harsh "slap" and a handball lesson from the Dutch, writes Faktor.

BiH opened the match with a goal by Herceg. Burić had two saves in the first three minutes. The Dutch scored their first goal in the fourth minute, and then went on a 4:0 run to lead 4:1.

BiH scored their second goal in the eighth minute through Panić, and then our opponent established a significant lead by the 18th minute - 10:2.

As time went on, the Netherlands' lead grew, largely due to gifts served up by the dismal offensive line of Irfan Smajlagić's squad.

In the 28th minute, the Netherlands had a record 11-goal lead in the first half (16:5), and the BiH handball players went into halftime trailing by ten goals (17:7).

In the second half, the Dutch handball players only increased their lead, finishing with a 16-goal difference and securing their place in the next round of the competition.

The BiH goalkeepers combined for eight saves - Benjamin Burić with 3 and Admir Ahmetašević with 5. Marko Davidović scored four goals, while Marko Panić and Nedim Hadžić each scored three.

Rutger Ten Velde of the Netherlands team scored nine goals without a missed shot, and Dani Baijens scored eight goals.

Bart Ravansbergem saved nine shots, while Arjan Verteijnen had four interventions.

Sweden and Georgia will play in our group starting at 8:30 PM.

In the first round, BiH was defeated by the Swedes, and the Dutch outplayed Georgia.

BiH will seek its first victory at the European championships against Georgia on Monday at 6 PM. On the same day, Sweden and the Netherlands will face each other for the first position in the group.
