Nikšić's 'fight against corruption' in the manner of - fighting fire with fire

(Patria) - Federal Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić (SDP) released a video in which, instead of answering public questions about ordering investigations through the Director of the Federal Police Administration (FUP) and appointing the director's relative in exchange for investigations and "spying", he delivers a monologue about the "fight against corruption".

This was stated to the Patria News Agency (NAP) by FBiH Parliament representative Jasmina Bišćević Tokić (SDA), who illustrated with concrete examples what Nikšić's "fight against corruption" actually looks like, in addition to the recorded ordering of investigations and "spying", and the appointment of the FUP director's relative in exchange for obedience.

- At the head of Nikšić's Anti-Corruption Team of the FBiH Government is Jasenko Muharemagić, his advisor from the previous prime ministerial term. Team members also include the head of the cabinet of Deputy Prime Minister Toni Kraljević, Marica Bulić, and the advisor of Deputy Prime Minister Vojin Mijatović, Fadil Mandal.

There are also NiP's director of the Federal Administration for Inspection Affairs Ivana Prvulović, SDP's director of the Federal Agency for Management of Seized Property Emir Bašić, Munib Isaković, Amel Topalović, Damir Šapina, and Dijana Smailagić.

So, the Anti-Corruption Team, whose task is to fight corruption, is composed of close associates of government representatives. Will the Prime Minister's chief of staff fight against corruption in which the Prime Minister is involved?

Will the advisors of the deputy prime ministers fight against corruption in which the deputy prime ministers participate? Such a "fight against corruption" is actually a prevention of a genuine fight and an insult to the public - says Bišćević Tokić.

She also commented on Nikšić's claims that he did not create a "family intelligence service".

- He did not, but rather handed it over to Milorad Dodik, so that it could lift bans on Greater Serbian agitators and mediate for Dodik in negotiations with the judiciary - these are the words of Bišćević Tokić.

She also responded to the federal prime minister's arguments that he did not create a "party television" from the public service.

- But that he did create it is confirmed by the very fact that he previously announced, and then realized that announcement, by appointing a former SDP candidate for member of the BiH Presidency to the head of Federal Television.

He did not accuse the opposition of creating party or family public enterprises and companies. Probably because the companies of opposition officials' sons do not have lucrative contracts with those companies that bring them hundreds of thousands of KM every month.

The Prime Minister also did not speak about the current management of the JP Motorways of FBiH. He does not speak, nor does his POSKOK, but European investigators who uncovered corruption in that public enterprise do speak.

The Prime Minister, who announces a fight against corruption, complains that someone is "politically persecuting" him because he recognizes himself in his own words. No, Prime Minister, no one is politically persecuting you; rather, your deeds and your words are persecuting you. And when the rule of law truly comes to life, the judiciary will also persecute you - concluded Bišćević Tokić in an interview with NAP.
