It wasn't recorded

During a break in the two-hour session of the Department of Arts of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, I decided to tell my fellow academics how I - after years of hesitation, deliberation, and all sorts of other mental torture - solved a significant moral and intellectual problem of mine.

I asked a friend, an academic painter, a man of the profession, to visit and carefully examine the famous ARS AEVI project collection together, at the premises of the Youth Center Skenderija.

I must - beyond any reasonable doubt! - understand what this is - art or some surrogate of it? Truth or lie? Reality or illusion? We paid for tickets and stayed inside, on the ground floor and the first floor, for about 45 minutes.

Not a single exhibit could complain that we bypassed it or did not observe it properly. There were, however, confusions, on two or three occasions, when for understandable reasons it was not immediately clear what the object in front of us was: an exhibition exhibit or part of the furniture of the Youth Center. However, in the era of conceptual art, such occurrences are quite normal, and we did not attach any significance to it.

We left the premises in silence and haste.

I tell the fellow academics:

Yesterday I visited the ARS AEVI exhibition and looked at everything very carefully. I will not tell you what I think about it.

I agree with the opinion of colleague Sidran! said the First Academic - absolutely authoritative on matters of fine arts. No less authoritative than him, the Second joined in:

I fully support the opinion of the esteemed colleagues.

The Secretary of the Department announced the end of the break and asked those present to return the work of the session to the framework of the planned agenda.

It seems that the world authority who said long ago was right: 'conceptual art represents the death of modern art'.
