After the Viennese newspaper "Kurir" published an article about Emir J. from Bratunac who sought asylum in Austria, because he is afraid to return to BiH allegedly because he was the bodyguard of war criminal Ratko Mladić, his brother Nermin Jusić reacted, whose denial the Patria News Agency publishes in full.
Incidentally, this story from the Viennese newspaper caused a great stir on social networks, and the displaced people of Bratunac participated most in the discussions, trying to find out who the asylum seeker actually was, as the full identity of the asylum seeker was not revealed.
- I declare with full moral, legal, and all other responsibility and am ready to confirm and prove in any court that wishes and needs the following:
NO ONE FROM MY IMMEDIATE FAMILY, NEITHER I EMIR JUSIĆ; NOR MY BROTHER NERMIN JUSIĆ, NOR PARENTS AND NO ONE FROM OUR FAMILY SPENT EVEN A SINGLE SECOND IN THE WAR IN BIH FROM MAY 9, 1992, UNTIL THE END OF THE WAR IN BIH.
Therefore - all accusations concerning me / my brother Nermin Jusić regarding participation in the war, i.e., as "the main bodyguard of war criminal Ratko Mladić during the genocide in BiH" are false because Nermin has never seen Ratko Mladić in his life except on TV and in newspapers.
As I said, he did not spend a second in the war in BiH, let alone all the other things he is accused of. This is the truth and most importantly, here is the EXPLANATION AND DENIAL (not an excuse, so that no one misinterprets this either) - those who are interested can read it, those who are not will not read it anyway and will remain in their beliefs.
After numerous attacks and condemnations of me and my family, I am forced to seek truth and justice through legal channels. This applies to legal entities, newspapers, and news portals. These proceedings are ongoing. Explaining individually to everyone on social networks is neither possible nor do I have the means for it, which is why I am writing here an explanation of the misunderstanding or deliberately spread lies and slander based on distorted facts and lies.
This staged case was initiated through a sensationalist report from the Austrian "Kurir" which is based on 2-3 facts and the rest is fabricated.
The facts are that my brother was an active military person, a military policeman in the JNA (and only in the JNA and never in the VRS) from 1991 until the end of 1992 / beginning of 1993, and that he is in the process of obtaining asylum in Austria.
The rest looks like this: 1. BODYGUARD
To make the story more sensational and sound better, one word of three letters, WIE, which means "like" in Bosnian, was omitted from the text, either out of ignorance or intentionally, from the translation... (QUOTE from Kurir: "... In den Reihen der persönlichen Leibgarde von Kriegsverbrechern wie Ratko Mladic waren auch Muslime, die heute in Bosnien Angst vor ihren überlebenden Mitbürgern haben...")
So, in the text, at the beginning, it is written that a "Muslim" Emir J. from Bratunac (my name/initials were used by mistake) was a bodyguard of war criminals "LIKE" Ratko Mladić since 1987 (this refers to Ljubiša Beara, a war criminal sentenced to life imprisonment for genocide in Srebrenica, who IS A WAR CRIMINAL LIKE Ratko Mladić, which will be the case).
Thus, Ljubiša Beara is not just an ordinary war criminal, but LIKE Ratko Mladić, in order to make the following story as terrifying and interesting as possible.
How much the Austrian journalist is lying is evident from the fact that Nermin was born in 1971, which means he was 15 years and a few months old in 1987 and could not have been a bodyguard to anyone.
THE TRUTH IS:
First as a soldier doing his military service, and later as an active junior officer (sergeant) in 1991 in Split (military police PT unit), my brother Nermin, as a military policeman, was on duty in civilian clothes in front of the officers' buildings in Split (before the war in Croatia) on tasks to protect the lives of JNA officers and their families.
In that building lived, among others, the family of his (now ex, but at that time in 1991 future) wife, as well as his commander, the aforementioned Admiral Ljubiša Beara. After the outbreak of the war in Croatia, he worked as a military policeman securing the military-naval command building in Split, and thus all the officers in it, including the commanding officer Admiral Beara.
As a junior JNA officer, i.e., a military policeman, Nermin worked from the transfer of the military-naval command from Split to Kumbor (Montenegro) from October 1991 until leaving active military service at the end of 1992 or the beginning of 1993 (I don't know the exact date).
Until his transfer abroad at the end of 1994, he worked as a bouncer at the door of a local restaurant. That is the whole truth about Nermin as the "main bodyguard of war criminal Ratko Mladić for the entire duration of the genocide in BiH".
As can be seen, it is enough for many to condemn him to lynching, the death penalty, slaughter, etc., etc. Anyone who has different information and any evidence for anything else and different, feel free to write, publish, and show it. And there is none.
2. Testimony at the trial of war criminal Ljubiša Beara
As is well known, one does not "apply" to testify at the Hague, but is summoned by the court and MUST respond, otherwise, they are brought in. In court, one MUST tell the truth under oath. So, Nermin was summoned by Ljubiša Beara's defense, i.e., forced to give his statement as a witness about LJUBIŠA BEARA'S ATTITUDE TOWARDS OTHER PEOPLES, PRIMARILY MUSLIMS. (In the Austrian KURIR, this is mentioned at the very end of the article as an accusation against Beara for "pathological hatred of Muslims").
Beara's defense relied on 3 "pieces of evidence" that Beara did not hate Muslims as a people, but acted only on orders as a soldier. These three "pieces of evidence" were that he enabled the treatment of officer Senad Burzić (if I remember the name correctly) at the Military Medical Academy in Belgrade, that he helped a convoy leave besieged Sarajevo which included "Muslims and Jews" among others, and thirdly, that he helped my family leave war-torn Bratunac. All of this is also stated in the transcript, i.e., the verdict of Ljubiša Beara. Anyone who wishes can read the verdict and find this.
THE TRUTH IS:
My family and I, i.e., my mother and sister, were expelled from our home on May 9, 1992, and brought to the stadium in Bratunac with rifles on our backs. Everyone who was at the stadium knows and saw this (who knows us). I cannot write about leaving the stadium here because the asylum proceedings and related matters are still ongoing (legally), nor for the protection of those who probably saved our lives (humanely). As can be read from the transcript of the Hague trial and the statements of other witnesses, Ljubiša Beara's role in "saving" me and my family was the decision to approve my brother Nermin's request: "that my brother Nermin (accompanied by an older family member of his wife (her uncle - also a JNA officer) can take a military vehicle and with two soldiers (driver and escort) try to save us from Bratunac. To be honest, it also states this: HE IS ALLOWED TO DO THIS ONLY UNOFFICIALLY AS A PRIVATE PERSON AND ON HIS OWN INITIATIVE AND FREE WILL - AND THAT HE (BEARA) CANNOT ORDER THEM TO DO SO. The testimony about the relationship with Ljubiša Beara refers to the period from 1991 to 1993 and the period of service in the JNA, as well as the mentioned case and the issue of attitude towards other peoples.
In the specific case of the "counter-terrorism unit of the military police" and its 30-odd soldiers and officers originating from almost 20 different nationalities and peoples, all in order to prove that Beara did not hate anyone.
My brother's statement about that period and life in Yugoslavia, the JNA, and brotherhood and unity, etc., until the war, can also be read in the original. This concludes this story - Nermin came for us and took us to Montenegro, where we all lived until we moved abroad in 1994.
The asylum procedure in Austria, which has been ongoing for 15 years since 1999, and about which, as I said, I cannot write because that procedure is still in court and I will not comment on it. For all that I have written, I have sufficient evidence and confirmations of various types and forms, from documents, through pictures, to confirmations from people who personally know the truth. I sincerely thank all those who know my brother, me, and my family well and did not believe the lies that were written, for the messages of support and encouragement.
The damage inflicted on us can never be repaired or compensated, unfortunately. I will deal with internet portals that, for the sake of 2-3 days of popularity and a few likes, question the integrity, honor, and even the lives of people they do not know, through the court and lawyers. I ask all embittered, offended, and affected neighbors, friends, and acquaintances to forgive us for every heavy sigh and word that this whole farce has caused them.
