Nihad Sarajkić Sentenced to 40 Years in Prison for the Murder of Anel Kršo

(Patria) - The Cantonal Court in Sarajevo sentenced Nihad Sarajkić to 40 years in prison for the murder of Anel Kršo on Vilsonovo šetalište on June 10, 2024, in a brutal manner.

Sarajkić fired 16 shots at Kršo, 15 of which hit him.

- The victim lay helpless and suffered pain, enough to be aware. After the victim fell, he could not resist. Sarajkić disassembled the pistol and waited for the police – said the prosecutor during the closing arguments.

Sarajkić also illegally possessed weapons, and had previously visited shooting ranges and traded weapons.

After committing the crime, Sarajkić called Anel's former common-law wife, Nina Salkić, with whom Sarajkić was in a relationship, it was stated during the hearing.

Let us recall, Salkić lived with Anel for 20 years, and previously stated in her testimony that she had filed a series of domestic violence reports, and that before the murder, Anel was in custody due to her last report.

There is a possibility of appeal against this verdict.
