(Patria) - Due to unstable weather, with occasional rain and strong winds in parts of northwestern, northern, and northeastern Bosnia, we advise more cautious driving adjusted to current conditions and road situations. Traffic intensity is increased on main roads and approaches to cities.
Due to regular maintenance of the tunnels: Hum, Pečuj, Ričice and Klopče, the A-1 motorway section Zenica sjever-Zenica jug is closed to motor vehicle traffic. During the works, the motorway entry is redirected to the Zenica Jug toll station.
Due to road repair works on the A-1 motorway section Kakanj-Lašva, for a length of 3 km, the left side of the motorway is closed, and vehicles are directed to use the opposite side of the motorway for two-way traffic.
On the A-1 motorway sections: Sarajevo sjever-Podlugovi, Sarajevo zapad-Lepenica and Počitelj-Bijača (over the Hercegovina bridge), traffic is redirected to the overtaking lane due to ongoing works.
Due to road repair works on the Vitez-Kaonik main road, traffic is slow from 08:30 to 15:30, with alternating traffic flow.
Movement of all vehicles across the bridge on the Dobro Polje-Miljevina main road is prohibited. Vehicles with a total weight of up to 3.5 tons can use the roads via Grepak or Kalinovik (there is 19 km of macadam road), while trucks must use the route via Rogatica and Ustiprača.
On the Tuzla-Bijeljina main road (Banj Brdo), vehicles up to 3.5 tons travel in one lane, alternating, while traffic for vehicles over 3.5 tons is still suspended.
On the Jablanica-Blidinje main road, traffic is allowed for vehicles up to 3.5 tons, while traffic for vehicles over 3.5 tons is still suspended.
On the M-5 main road Izačić-Bihać border crossing, bridge reconstruction works are being carried out. Vehicles are redirected to a temporary bypass in the immediate vicinity of the works, with alternating traffic flow.
There are long queues of vehicles at the exit from Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Gradina and Gradiška border crossings. At other border crossings, traffic intensity is increased for exiting vehicles, but for now, waiting times do not exceed 30 minutes.
Due to passenger registration under the new EU entry/exit system (EES), longer delays at border crossings are possible.
The Brčko border crossing is open for passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tons. From December 2, 2025, the Karakaj border crossing is open for all categories of vehicles. Traffic for all trucks is prohibited at the Šepak border crossing.
