(Patria) - The young man who was seriously injured in the Gacko Mine and Thermal Power Plant was transferred from Trebinje Hospital for further treatment to the University Clinical Center of Republika Srpska in Banja Luka, confirmed by Trebinje Hospital.
According to unofficial information, the young man fell from a great height while working at RiTE Gacko.
“The patient was admitted to Trebinje Hospital. He is not in life-threatening condition, but the injuries are serious. One surgery was performed at Trebinje Hospital, after which he was transferred by helicopter of the Ministry of Interior of Republika Srpska for further treatment to the University Clinical Center of Republika Srpska,” said Tanja Novarlić, head of the Intensive Care Unit at Trebinje Hospital, for ATV.
From the Health Center in Gacko, they confirmed for ATV that the young man sustained severe bodily injuries, including an open fracture of the knee joint, a multifragmentary fracture of the femur of the other leg, a fracture of the ankle joint, a fracture of one rib, as well as a laceration of the tongue.
ATV unofficially learns that the young man is not from Gacko.
