
SARAJevo, (Patria) - Nermin Nikšić remains President of the Social Democratic Party of BiH by the will of SDP BiH members who voted today at 177 polling stations across BiH. 22,222 members voted, and Nikšić received two-thirds of the votes, or 12,668 votes, confirmed Mira Grgić, President of the Central Election Commission of SDP BiH.
SDP members chose between three candidates: Nikšić, Svetozar Pudarić, and Edin Delić, based on the one member-one vote principle.
Pudarić received 1,094 votes, and Delić received 8,414 votes.
Grgić stated that votes have not yet arrived from two or three smaller organizations, but these votes will not affect the outcome. She added that the elections proceeded in a fair and correct atmosphere.
