The rejection of the appeal by the Military Court in Arnhem, Netherlands, on the decision not to prosecute the former commander of the Dutch battalion in Srebrenica, Thom Karremans, and his assistants is yet another in a series of humiliations of genocide victims, another in a series of attacks on the truth about the aggression and genocide in BiH, and another in a series of attacks on justice for the victims of these crimes, reports the Patria News Agency.
The judicial non-prosecution of Karremans, who shook hands with Hague indictee Ratko Mladić in 1995 and toasted with him shortly after the units of the then Army of Republika Srpska entered Srebrenica, is another defeat for international justice and a defeat for the United Nations.
This and other similar court decisions do not contribute to strengthening support for genocide victims. In fact, these court decisions attempt to rehabilitate Milošević, Karadžić, and Mladić. These court decisions attempt to preserve an entity that the United Nations, international and national political actors should not have allowed, because the aggressor and perpetrator of genocide was rewarded with that entity, it was announced from the Institute for Research of Genocide Canada.
