Improper use of tetanus vaccines endangered 13 children?

The public in Sarajevo is still disturbed after 13 high school students were hospitalized at UKCS after receiving a tetanus vaccine at the Vrazova Health Center, reports the Patria news agency.

There are still no official information about what happened, but Patria learns that a break in the cold chain is suspected.

Namely, the cold chain of vaccines is the maintenance of optimal temperature during transport, storage and use of vaccines and the basic logistical support in the implementation of the immunization program.

The role of the cold chain is to ensure that an active, potent vaccine is available to the user at the right time, in the right place and in the right quantity.

Otherwise, tetanus vaccination has been suspended until further notice until all the circumstances under which the side effects occurred are determined.

We remind you, five students were kept at UKCS, and the students had headaches, tingling in their hands, and fainting.
