Nenadić: 115 people in quarantine at Bjelave

SARAJevo, (Patria) - In the Sarajevo Canton, 92 people were tested in the last 24 hours, of which five are positive for coronavirus.

"16 people are hospitalized, one is on a respirator, two are in the recovery phase and one has been discharged from the isolation ward. Two people have recovered, and there have been a total of four deaths. 48 people are in home isolation," said KS Prime Minister Mario Nenadić at a press conference.

From March 18 to April 9, a total of 1,553 people who lost their jobs registered with the KS Employment Service.

He emphasized that they have secured a sufficient number of tests and that testing will continue according to expert recommendations. During the past week, they worked on isolation and quarantine facilities.

"We have 115 people in quarantine at Bjelave. These are groups from Italy, Sweden, France, Great Britain, Austria, Serbia, etc., and four were placed due to mandatory isolation measures. All conditions in the quarantine are met, and they are being improved daily because we have a four-month-old baby, a three-year-old, elderly sick people, and cancer patients there. We have also adapted the facilities of the home in Nedžarići for quarantine. Today, six people are arriving from the Orašje and Gradiška border crossings," said Nenadić.

Regarding public procurement, Nenadić stated that significant budget funds have been allocated for medical equipment. He emphasized that they currently have sufficient financial resources. He added that they have ensured a continuous regular supply of medical equipment.

Significant donations have also been paid, and Nenadić said that detailed information will be announced next week, while the data will be publicly published.

The Prime Minister thanked the citizens of Sarajevo Canton for respecting the measures, for which, as he said, they received praise from the World Health Organization.
