Restless night in Herzegovina: Brawl in Bišće polje, "Horde zla" banned from Pecara

(Patria) - Mostar recorded a new incident last night, two people were injured in a brawl in the Bišće polje settlement. As confirmed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, a conflict between several people occurred in front of a furniture store, and the police received the report around three o'clock after midnight. Allegedly, members of Ultras carried out the attack.

– A police patrol immediately responded to the scene, and an emergency medical team transported the injured to the hospitals. One person was treated at the University Clinical Hospital Mostar, and the other at the "Dr. Safet Mujić" hospital – stated the spokesperson for the Police Administration, Ilijana Miloš.

An investigation was conducted by police officers, and the duty prosecutor was informed about the event. The investigation is ongoing.

This incident occurred on the eve of tonight's match at Pecara, where Široki Brijeg hosts Sarajevo at 7:45 PM as part of the 7th round of the WWin League of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The duel will take place without visiting fans, as "Horde zla" announced they will not be in the stands.

– Despite all the efforts we have made, unfortunately, we will not be able to attend the match in Lištica. The reason is the closed away stands due to alleged construction work – announced this fan group.

A series of recent incidents, along with the announcement of a new derby in the south of the country without visiting fans, once again raises the question of security and tensions that have been accompanying sports and public events in this part of Bosnia and Herzegovina for months.
