(Il)legal Government of RS to be Confirmed on September 2nd?

(Patria) - The Collegium of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska decided today at a telephone session that the 25th special session of the National Assembly will be held on Tuesday, September 2nd, starting at 10 AM.

The Collegium determined the final agenda for the 25th special session of the National Assembly.

The first item on the announced session will be the election of the Government of Republika Srpska.

The program of the candidate for the Prime Minister of Republika Srpska will be presented with the proposal of the members of the Government of Republika Srpska, and the election of the Prime Minister of Republika Srpska and the election of the members of the Government of RS.

After that, the swearing-in ceremony of the Prime Minister and members of the Government of Republika Srpska is planned.

The candidate for the Prime Minister of RS is Savo Minić, proposed by Milorad Dodik, even though Dodik had already been stripped of his mandate as President of RS following a final decision by the Central Election Commission confirmed by the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Minić confirmed today that he had not consulted with representatives of opposition parties, and he also spoke about the challenges to his candidacy, stating that it is not legal.

"Time will tell who is legal and who is illegal. There will probably be such challenges, and I am aware of the burden I will have to bear, so someone will ask if they want to talk to the Government of RS that is being challenged. We have our set path and we are moving forward on that path," Minić said at today's press conference.

The Central Election Commission has scheduled early elections for the President of RS for November 23rd.
