(Patria) - Politicians do not love their people or their country and do not deal with substantive issues; most of them are only interested in how to get rich from the suffering of the people, says Nebojša Vukanović, SDS MP in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, for the Patria agency.
“They have become greedy and unscrupulous. They are not working on the development of the country. They only look for whom to appoint and what to steal. Mirko Šarović, Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations, is one of the few who received a high passing grade in the Council of Ministers. We must remember that he is responsible for us getting the opportunity to export milk and chicken to the European Union, and fruits and vegetables to Russia. Now a good agreement with Turkey has been reached, and it is evident that Mirko Šarović did not talk much, but he worked. There is an evident increase in exports from Bosnia and Herzegovina during his mandate,” says Vukanović.
This SDS representative in the NSRS believes it would be good for Bosnia and Herzegovina to have more politicians like Mirko Šarović.
“What is devastating to me is that the agreement on exports to Turkey was not signed by Šarović, who is responsible for it, but by Milorad Dodik, who raised tensions with his statements and damaged relations with Turkey,” Vukanović told Patria.
Commenting on Milorad Dodik's statesmanlike demeanor and his mild reaction to the statement by the President of Turkey that BiH needs to form a government to continue its Euro-Atlantic path, Vukanović assesses that Dodik, upon arriving in Sarajevo, announced a referendum on secession, and is now going to the Pope and the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
“Milorad Dodik first showed disrespectful behavior. He insulted Muslims daily, such as statements that he is bothered by the ‘howling of hodžas’ and that there are too many mosques. He also made other Islamophobic statements, all to present himself as some great representative of Republika Srpska and to awaken the feelings of less educated citizens in Republika Srpska,” adds Vukanović.
He also notes that Dodik called the representatives of Republika Srpska in Sarajevo “bakirovcima, poturicama…” (derogatory terms).
“Now that man greets the Turkish army with ‘merhaba asker’ and he is not even a trace of the Milorad Dodik from before the elections, when he called Šefik Džaferović a war criminal, responsible for the suffering of Serbs in Vozuća. Now he travels to Turkey with him, and perhaps he spoke more Turkish and Arabic than any other representative of BiH so far. This shows that Milorad Dodik is a unscrupulous Machiavellian and manipulator, and his lies unfortunately pass for years. He is a great shame, above all for the Serbian people,” said Vukanović.
When asked if it is possible for Dodik to turn his policy in favor of NATO, Vukanović says that “Dodik has already done that.”
“He has already withdrawn the Deputy Minister of Defense Boris Jerinić, and this will be completed very soon. Precisely thanks to that agenda, by which he promised foreigners before the elections that he would be constructive and unblock the Euro-Atlantic path of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and he has certainly done a lot of work in that regard,” said Vukanović.
Vukanović concludes that “Dodik is a man with a hundred faces, who changes his moves from day to day in order to stay in power.”
“Unfortunately, he has contaminated the region and shed much bad blood. Remember that he announced a war with SIPA and the secession of Republika Srpska, and look what he is doing today. What I regret is that the citizens of Republika Srpska do not see that he is a great criminal, manipulator, and fraudster who has robbed his people. As long as he is on the political scene, there will be no progress and steps towards European society,” concluded Vukanović.
