THEIR AIR CONDITIONING DOESN'T WORK EITHER: With many objections to the document, the House of Peoples of the PSBiH adopted the BiH Budget for 2024

(Patria) - In Sarajevo today, the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted the Proposal of the Law on the Budget of BiH Institutions and International Obligations of BiH for this year under an urgent procedure.

With major objections from the opposition, but also from some delegates from the ruling coalition, the most mentioned were the millions allocated for the UIO, specifically the purchase of land for this institution, which will ultimately cost more than 100 million KM.

Also, objections were raised regarding the reduction of funds for the Ministry of Defense of BiH, to which the Minister of Finance and Treasury, Srđan Amidžić, noted that 30 million KM from last year remained unspent.

"There will be no problems in terms of the functioning of this institution," said Amidžić, adding that he is not satisfied with the structure of the budget, but that it is a matter of political agreement.

Also, delegate Dženan Đonlagić (DF) mentioned the issue of the payment of the first tranche from the European Commission, based on the Growth Plan, which BiH does not have!

During the discussion on urgency, the head of the Club of Delegates of the Bosniak people, Šefik Džaferović, said that he would vote against both the urgent procedure and the proposal of the budget of BiH institutions and international obligations for 2024.

The budget framework for this year amounts to 1,355,400,000 KM, which is 40 million KM more than last year's budget.

Incidentally, during the session, a complaint was heard about the poor working conditions, because the air conditioning units in the building of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH are not working.
