I'm not going to Brazil, I'll cheer for BiH from my country, and I expect Nurkić in the NBA league

Mirza Teletović, BiH basketball player and member of the NBA team Brooklyn Nets, is living his American dream, and he has arrived in Bosnia and Herzegovina for a vacation, writes the Patria News Agency. Very cheerful and smiling, Mirza says in an interview for NAP that he enjoys the recognitions and awards he receives, one of which is the sports personality of the year for 2013.

Considering that he left behind the football Dragon Edin Džeko, with whom he is best friends, in Avaz's award, he says he regrets that they could not both receive the award, but that his turn has come.

- It would be nice if all successful athletes could receive some recognition, including Džeko and me. But, that's how it is. BiH has so many quality athletes, so we have to change. Edin cannot take all the awards. It's time for someone else to receive some recognition – Teletović says with a laugh.

Neither Teletović nor other citizens of BiH are immune to the football fever that is gripping everyone ahead of the start of the World Cup in Brazil, in which BiH is participating for the first time in history.

- I expect a good and positive result in Brazil. I am very excited, believe me, I can't find the right way to describe my feelings for the BiH national football team. I think our guys are definitely moving on. I expect a lot from them in the group stage, and we'll see after that. I have no other favorites in Brazil, I'm rooting for BiH and I want them to go as far as possible – Teletović tells NAP.

However, Teletović will not travel to Brazil, because, as he says, he was late with planning.

- Regarding my trip to Brazil, unfortunately, I was late and I just arrived in BiH and I'm spending time with friends and resting, so we'll see how we'll organize ourselves to watch the matches together. It will surely be fun that way – Teletović added.

One of the best basketball players from BiH is not thinking too much about anything at the moment, as he says, because he wants to rest and enjoy BiH, which he misses a lot. However, he tells NAP that BiH is full of talents and that someone else will surely come to the strongest basketball league in the world soon.

- We have a lot of young and talented players in BiH and I am sure they will get the opportunity to build a career in the NBA. First of all, I am thinking of Jusuf Nurkić, who is going to the Draft, and I wish him all the best. He is a top player, a great talent, and he still has a lot of room to improve, and he will surely succeed in his career. I expect him to come to the NBA – Teletović added.
