IT'S NOT WORKING, AND IT'S NOT WORKING, THE FBiH GOVERNMENT AND THE COMMISSION DIDN'T HELP, GAVRANKAPETANOVIĆ STILL WAITING, WILL THE CALL FOR APPLICATIONS BE CANCELLED?

(Patria) - Prof. Dr. Ismet Gavrankapetanović was not appointed General Director of the University Clinical Center of Sarajevo in the third attempt by the FBiH Government. The commission formed on April 12th was supposed to review the appointment procedures, as well as Gavrankapetanović's documentation, and submit its opinion within the next five days.

However, this has not happened to date, and the relevant minister, Nediljko Rimac, continues to refuse to approve this appointment.

The Ministry consistently claims that Gavrankapetanović had incomplete documentation, while the FBiH Government insists on his appointment. On the other hand, lawyers for other candidates regularly write to the FBiH Government, pointing out that the FBiH Government should not interfere in the process.

We remind you that Ismet Gavrankapetanović was elected General Director of the University Clinical Center of Sarajevo at the Management Board session on December 28th, but his appointment has not been confirmed to this day.

The FBiH Government was cornered and had no other option but to form a commission.

Željko Škarica, Chief Federal Administrative Inspector, is the president of the commission, and its members are Benjamin Kulovac, member of the KCUS Management Board, Srđan Mikić, Assistant Director of the Legislation Office, Belma Trajkov, advisor to the Minister of Education, and Dijana Smailagić, Assistant Secretary of the FBiH Government.

However, the Commission has not submitted its report to the FBiH Government.

We remind you that Sebija Izetbegović was at the head of KCUS, and she left this position in November 2023.

The position of acting General Director is currently held by Alen Pilav. He is close to the SDP, so various rumors circulated regarding Gavrankapetanović's appointment, suggesting this is another conflict between NIP and SDP.

Gavrankapetanović is a proposal from a part of NIP, as not all members of this party were in favor of his appointment.

No one knows for sure when this agony will end, and the cancellation of the call for applications is clearly getting closer.
